Activating 2 way messaging booking confirmation

How to ask your clients to respond to messages

With two-way messaging, you can now receive client replies directly into your Salon App, helping you confirm bookings faster and reduce no-shows.

When activated, your clients can reply “YES” or “NO” to their booking confirmation messages — and their response will appear straight in your diary, showing which appointments have been confirmed.

Here’s how to get set up 👇

Step 1: Enable Two-Way Messaging

  1. Log into your Salon App.

  2. Go to Settings → Bookings → Booking Reminders

  3. Toggle Require Confirmations to On.

  4. If prompted, activate your Dedicated Number (this ensures your messages are sent from your salon’s own number, improving deliverability).

  5. Save. Your clients will now be asked to respond Y or N to confirm their booking in their booking reminder.

💡 Tip: If you haven’t yet set up a dedicated number, contact our support team - we’ll do this for you in just a few minutes.

Step 2: View Client Responses in Your Diary

Once clients start replying, you’ll see their confirmation status appear in your Salon Diary:

  • Confirmed: Client replied Y or Yes -> A tick will appear on their booking

  • Cancelled: Client replied N or No -> The booking will appear hashed out. You can contact the client to confirm if they want the booking or not.

You can also view all message history in Messaging → Client Conversations.

  • Fewer no-shows: Know in advance which clients are definitely coming.

  • Faster communication: Clients can reply instantly — no phone calls needed.

  • Better deliverability: Messages sent from your dedicated number are recognised by mobile networks as your salon, so fewer get blocked or filtered.
