Creating a marketing campaign

How to send a custom marketing campaign to your clients by SMS and/or email

  1. Go to Marketing in the left hand menu -> Click New Campaign in the top right corner

  2. Fill in your campaign name (eg Last minute filler) -> Click Create

  3. Optional: fill in the campaign description. This can be useful for reusing components of the campaign later

Content

Designing the wording and design of your marketing campaign

  1. For an SMS message, you can Select or Create to choose the wording for your text message

    • Select: You can either select from your own templates, or from the Community templates. Click Use next to the template you want to use. You can click Edit to make any changes.

    • Create: Type out the message you want to send to your clients. You can click the Personalisation drop down to fill in characteristic's like the clients' names and salon contact info or online booking links. You have a character counter in the bottom right corner which shows you how many credits your message will use per client. When you're done, click Update.

  2. For an email, you can Select or Create to choose the design and wording for your email.

    • Select: You can either select from your own templates, or from the Community templates. Click Use next to the template you want to use. You can click Edit to make any changes.

    • Create: This opens the email builder. You can add your components from the right hand side and type out the content of your email, and don't forget your subject line at the top. You can see more detailed instructions on how to use the email builder here

Audience

Choosing which of your clients you will contact

  1. Select: You can either select from your own templates, or from the Community templates.

    • Click Use next to the template you want to use.

    • You can click Edit to make any changes. You can find instructions on how to edit these filters in the section below or here

  2. Create: You can build your own custom filters to select your clients

    • Click Add filter -> Choose whether to add a client filter, a booking filter, or a feedback filter. You can add more later to target clients with more specificity.

    • Click Add condition -> Select the condition you want to filter on from the drop down list -> Configure the settings of this condition.

    • If you want to add more filters, click Add filter.

    • When you have finished your filters, you can click Run Lookup to see how many clients you are matching and who.

    • When you are happy with your filters, click Update.

Tracking

Define the tracking period to determine the return on investment and engagement with your campaign. This will track the bookings made by the clients contacted in the tracking period

  1. Enter the duration of your tracking period

  2. OR deactivate the tracking if you do not need it.

Schedule

Choose when your campaign is going to send

  1. Save as draft: save your campaign for later

  2. Schedule:

    • Run now - will send immediately

    • Run later - choose a time and date for your campaign to send

    • Repeat daily - sends this campaign every day at the same time to whichever clients match the filter

    • Repeat monthly - sends this campaign every month on the same day to whichever clients match the filter

    -> Click Confirm
